About Al-Mu'awwidhatayn
Surah Al-Falaq (113) and Surah An-Nas (114) are the last two surahs of the Quran — revealed together as a pair, recited together as a shield. Al-Falaq seeks refuge in Allah from the evil of all that He has created, from the darkness of the night, from those who blow on knots, and from the envy of the envious. An-Nas seeks refuge in the Lord of mankind, the King of mankind, the God of mankind, from the whispering of the retreating whisperer — who whispers in the hearts of men. The Prophet (SAW) said: “Recite Al-Mu’awwidhatayn, for nothing can protect you like them.” Wearing them is wearing that protection, always.
