Paired with a Coca stone, the ring combines two distinctly Anatolian materials in a single piece. The band is decorated with pencil engraving — a traditional hand-engraving technique that uses fine, precise lines to create intricate patterns with the delicacy of a drawing, giving the ring a refined, artisan character that rewards close inspection.

About Oltu Stone
Oltu taşı — known internationally as Erzurum jet or black amber — is a rare organic gemstone found only in the Oltu district of Erzurum province in northeastern Turkey. Formed from fossilized wood over millions of years, it has been carved and polished by Erzurum craftsmen for centuries, producing prayer beads, rings, bracelets, and decorative objects that are recognized as a UNESCO-listed intangible cultural heritage of Turkey. Its deep, matte black surface and lightweight feel make it unlike any other stone in the world. Wearing Oltu taşı is wearing a piece of Anatolian identity.
