The face of this ring depicts a Janissary soldier — the elite infantry corps of the Ottoman Empire, established in the 14th century and active for over five hundred years as the most disciplined and feared military force in the Islamic world. The Janissaries (Yeniçeriler) were the personal household troops of the Ottoman Sultan, distinguished by their tall white felt hats (börk), their strict code of conduct, and their role as the vanguard of Ottoman expansion across three continents. The motif is set in solid 925 sterling silver with a faceted red zircon stone accent, combining military heritage with the Ottoman tradition of engraved silver signet rings worn by soldiers, commanders, and court officials.
