Turquoise Inshirah Ring 925 Silver Islamic Ottoman Handmade

The top face of this ring is set with a piece of natural turquoise, into which the text of Surat Ash-Sharh (Inshirah, Quran 94) is engraved. The surah — eight verses beginning with “Did We not expand for you your breast?” — is among the most recited in Islamic tradition, associated with relief after hardship and divine ease. The engraving is cut directly into the turquoise surface in Arabic script.

The sides of the band carry additional turquoise inlays set into the silver, extending the stone presence around the ring. Turquoise has been used in Ottoman and Anatolian jewelry for centuries; it appears in palace collections, mosque decorations, and personal adornment across the Islamic world. The stone ranges from sky blue to blue-green depending on the piece — natural turquoise varies, and no two stones are identical.
