According to Islamic tradition, it was bestowed upon Prophet David (Dawud, a.s.) and passed to his son Prophet Solomon (Sulayman, a.s.) as a divine gift — a symbol of his sovereignty over all creation, including jinn, wind, and water. The six-pointed star is said to represent the attributes of Allah, with each of its six points carrying spiritual meaning. Islamic scholars have noted that the same geometric form appears in the crystalline structure of a snowflake — a sign, they say, of its divine origin. The seal is also said to contain within it the Ism-i Azam — the Greatest Name of Allah, known only to a select few among humans and angels.
