How to Measure Your Ring Size at Home: Easy Ring Size Guide
Finding the right ring size is important for both comfort and fit. Whether you are choosing a sterling silver ring for yourself or buying a meaningful gift, knowing the correct size before ordering can help you choose with confidence.
At Reyhan Silver, our rings are available in a range of sizes. This simple ring size guide will help you measure your finger or an existing ring at home.
Method 1: Measure a Ring You Already Own
One of the easiest and most accurate methods is to measure a ring that already fits the intended finger well.
- Choose a ring that fits comfortably.
- Place the ring on a flat surface.
- Using a millimeter ruler, measure straight across the inside of the ring, from one inner edge to the opposite inner edge.
- Do not include the thickness of the metal.
- This measurement is the ring's inner diameter.
- Compare the inner diameter with our ring size chart below.
For example, an inner diameter of approximately 18.1 mm corresponds to US size 8, while approximately 19.8 mm corresponds to US size 10.
Method 2: Measure Your Finger
If you do not have a ring to measure, you can measure the circumference of your finger.
Wrap a thin strip of paper or non-stretch string comfortably around the base of the finger where you plan to wear the ring. Mark the point where the ends meet, then lay it flat and measure the length in millimeters.
That measurement is your approximate finger circumference. Compare it with the circumference column in our ring size chart.
Do not wrap the paper or string too tightly. Your ring should be able to slide over your knuckle while still sitting securely on your finger.
When Should You Measure Your Finger?
Finger size can change slightly during the day due to temperature and other normal factors. For a more representative measurement, measure when your hands are at a comfortable, normal temperature.
If possible, measure the same finger more than once before choosing your size.
Remember that fingers on your left and right hands may not be exactly the same size, so always measure the specific finger on which you intend to wear your ring.
What If You Are Between Two Ring Sizes?
If your measurement falls between two sizes, consider how you prefer your ring to fit and the design of the ring.
Wider or heavier rings can sometimes feel tighter than slim bands. When you are unsure, contact us before ordering and we will be happy to help you compare your measurement with the available sizes.

Important Measurement Tip
For the best result, we recommend measuring the inner diameter of a ring that already fits you well whenever possible.
Measure only the empty space inside the ring, from inner edge to inner edge. Even a small measuring difference can affect the size you select.
