Kaaba Motif Ring 925 Silver Islamic Ottoman Handmade Quran

The face of this ring is built around a three-dimensional cage motif enclosing a miniature representation of the Kaaba — the cubic structure at the center of Masjid al-Haram in Mecca, toward which Muslims orient their prayer. The cage is worked in solid 925 sterling silver using a double-door construction with a Vav-Elif lock system, a detail drawn from Ottoman silversmithing tradition. Miniature Quranic inscriptions are engraved on the right and left panels of the cage.

The verses engraved on the band are drawn from Surah Ash-Shu’ara (26:62) and the supplication of Ibrahim (26:78–83), in which the Prophet Ibrahim describes his Lord: the one who created and guides him, who provides food and drink, who heals him when he is sick, who will cause him to die and then resurrect him, and from whom he hopes for forgiveness on the Day of Judgment. The passage ends with Ibrahim’s prayer: “My Lord, grant me wisdom and join me with the righteous.”
