Black Fire Amber Ring 925 Silver Seljuk Star Handmade

The Seljuk star — an eight-pointed geometric form derived from two overlapping squares — was one of the defining motifs of Seljuk architectural and decorative art between the 11th and 13th centuries. It appears on the tilework of mosques and madrasas across Anatolia, Persia, and Central Asia, carved into stone portals and cast in bronze on ceremonial objects. The eight points were understood to represent the cardinal and intercardinal directions, giving the form both cosmological and aesthetic significance. On this ring, the motif is engraved directly into the surface of the black fire amber stone, worked by hand.

Black fire amber is a darker variety of natural amber — the same fossilized tree resin as the more familiar honey-yellow stone, but with a deep, near-opaque coloration caused by organic inclusions in the original resin. In certain light conditions, particularly direct sunlight, the stone shows a subtle internal warmth that distinguishes it from glass or synthetic imitations. Each stone is unique in its exact tone and surface character.
