Ayat al-Kursi — verse 255 of Surah al-Baqarah — is among the most recited verses in the Quran. It describes the sovereignty and omniscience of God, and has been used for centuries as a protective inscription on amulets, architectural surfaces, and personal objects across the Islamic world. The tradition of wearing or carrying sacred text as a form of spiritual protection is deeply rooted in Islamic practice, and engraved silver has long been the preferred medium for this purpose.
